While the UTM World Holdings Group is driven by a strong work ethic and an eagerness to excel and innovate, we believe completely in meritocracy – which is why our apprenticeship program plays such a fundamental role within the companies. Each year we take on up to six new apprentices, to pass on the knowledge, skills, training and craftsmanship we have worked so hard to maintain and cultivate. Many of those apprentices are still with us, working their way up through the ranks, to include our Chief Production Officer who himself started off as a young engineering apprentice.
This is a place where traditional craftsmanship and tactical training meets new technology and methodology, which are finely balanced through the development of individuals who can and do work independently, but who also form a close-knit team, that celebrates and benefits from their experience and diversity – mixing new faces with old.
While we, and our employees, are confident enough to be proud of our abilities, experience and achievements, we encourage humility to avoid complacency, respect environments and cultures, and keep learning. We also believe that hard work and diligence should be and is rewarded with promotion and net sharing within the company.
